Terms of use
These terms cover using Leasebook. By creating an account or accepting an invitation you agree to them.
What Leasebook does
It keeps records: leases, the rent and bills owed under them, and the payments landlords say they received. It does not move money, collect rent, or hold deposits. A balance shown inLeasebook is only as accurate as what was entered.
Your account
- Keep your login to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Landlords must have the right to record their tenants' details and to invite or email them, and must keep those records accurate.
- Landlords are responsible for their public listings: they must be accurate, for units they may rent out, and lawful where the unit is, including rules against discrimination.
- Don't use Leasebook to harass anyone, to send spam, or for anything unlawful.
Plans
The free plan covers up to 5 units. If paid plans are introduced, existing accounts will be told before anything changes for them.
Not advice
Leasebook is a record-keeping tool. Nothing in it is legal, tax or financial advice, and it does not check that a lease, charge or late fee is allowed where you are. The assistant is an AI model and can be wrong: check what it tells you, and what it changes, against your records.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Leasebook running and your data safe, but it is provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free. We may change or stop features, and will give reasonable notice before shutting the service down so you can take a copy of your records.
Liability
As far as the law allows, Leasebook is not liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by records that were entered incorrectly.
Ending
You can stop using Leasebook at any time, download your data, and delete your login or workspace yourself, under Settings or in the portal. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
